Yup.  I did it 7 more times...

A simple solid colored log will work fine for a center on this flower.

Next I made 8 logs of translucent clay for the packing.

I shaped the logs.  (Not shown.  Sorry!  I got a little tired of taking pictures!)  I'm half way finished with the background packing.

Another 10 minutes and I'm done with the background.  20 minutes to pack a flower cane.  That's the most time-consuming part when building this type of flower!

A size 3 sheet of trans clay around the whole business completes the build process!!  Time taken so far is 1.5 hours.

This cane weighs in at 37.8 ounces (about 2.5 pounds).
